The Saddle

Where the game is played in the open air, under Rajasthan’s wide sky. A rider and his string of horses, competing under their own colours, on turf that belongs to this soil as much as to its history.

A game played at a gallop

An active polo club player, he rides competitively alongside his own string of horses. Chukker after chukker, it is a sport of nerve and partnership: the horse reading the play as much as the rider, the mallet swung true at speed.

Mewar Stud ’88

His own equestrian club and stud in Udaipur. Here the horses are bred, trained and ridden as his own: the quiet work behind the game, the mornings in the school, the animals brought on to carry his colours onto the field.
